Invitation to attend
Young Engineers Australia is pleased to invite young engineering professionals to the 2008 YEA National Summit, to be held in Perth, 10 September 2008.
This is the third of a successful series of YEA National Summits, bringing together like-minded professionals to debate, challenge and broaden their minds on issues of interest to the current and future engineering community.
The theme of this year’s National Summit is The Universal Engineer: From the specialised to leadership and beyond the frontiers. The universal engineer encompasses multiple skills both technically and managerial, is one that has the capacity to work within culturally different environments with an appreciation for socially responsible development in Australia and globally.
With a selection of high profile key note speakers from industry, interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and a poster session incorporated into the day’s activities, we expect record numbers in excess of 200 attendees at this year’s National Summit.
This is a distinguishing National Summit, developed by leading Young Engineers in consultation with YEA members, representing the accumulation of what young engineers need and the desires of the senior engineering community including employers and the broader engineering team.
It will also be the first time that the YEA National Summit is held in conjunction with the Centre for Leadership and Management (CELM), representing a unique opportunity for senior engagement, networking and professional development.
We invite you to join us at the 2008 YEA National Summit.
